The first steps are often the most difficult

It is odd how some of the most straightforward concepts can be so difficult. To sit, think, reflect, and then humbly share some random thoughts and ideas seems to require minimal effort.

Flipping through the pages of a few dozen hard bound Shinola journals on my shelf has been cathartic yet strange. Some of the passages crystal clear, yet others cryptic as I strain to follow my thoughts and read my scribble from nearly 20 years of content.

I have struggled to launch this SparkPoint Project. Not from lack of desire or even time, but from wanting the images, words, structure to be just perfect... to be just so. Over the last several years, this site was never quite good enough, constant tinkering leading to complete overhaul. Again and again. The heel dragging and perfectionism so foreign to me...rules and formalities are normally just suggestions and guidelines in my mind.

I am excited to finally begin to share parts of my journey. I hope that you will find the short entries inspirational, thought-provoking, perhaps illuminating, and, if nothing else, a genuine attempt to shine a little light on the day.

I am confident that my writing won't be perfect, and the content probably won't resonate with everyone. But if it brings a smile, inspires a thought, provides hope, or helps even in the smallest of ways, it was a good day. Please join me as I share some of my SparkPoint Moments.
